  • General English

    From 16 years From 10 to 14 students per class Length of course minimum 1 week Length of lesson 45 minutes For all language levels
    Each week, you will spend 12 of your 20 lessons studying Integrated Skills, developing your vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation through interactive and varied activities. For the other eight lessons, you will study Targeted Skills. These will focus on developing each of the ‘four skills’ of language: speaking, listening, reading and writing. This is your opportunity to work on your skills to maximise your progress towards mastery of English.
    You can also choose to extend and intensify your 20 lessons by adding 10 more lessons per week.
  • English in the City

    From 16 years From 10 to 14 students per class Length of course maximum 5 weeks Length of lesson 45 minutes For all language levels
    Experience local dialects, history and famous sights while improving your English. This class is for students who want to learn more about their host city.

    Experience your destination with 10 lessons per week focused on language study inspired by your chosen city.

    You will spend one lesson each week outside of the classroom with your class, visiting places of interest and engaging in activities in the local area.

    Classroom study will also support themes that change weekly, including ‘Describing Art and Culture – Museum Tours’, ‘Talk like a Local – Neighbourhood Visits’ and ‘The Language of Sports – Stadium Visits’.

    Any student will find that living in homestay accommodation is the best way to practise English outside the classroom. You will be treated as a close friend of the family, couple or individual that you are staying with and will have your own freedom while being respectful to the family’s rules and expectations.

    There may also be up to three other students in the family but they will speak a different native language from yourself. Housing very much varies here in London. You may be placed in a house (semi-detached/terrace and detached) or a bungalow or a flat/apartment.

    Families in London are of many different nationalities and backgrounds, but the main language spoken in the house will be English.

    All our host families are carefully selected and each inspected at least once a year.
