These preparation courses are offered alongside our Standard or Intensive language courses, providing a comprehensive approach to achieving your certification goals.

Housing
Host family (single room, breakfast)

Immerse yourself in the culture to the fullest by staying in a private home with native speakers. By staying with a local family, you may experience German outside of a classroom setting and gain insight into the culture from a native's point of view.
A booking with breakfast only would include a typical cold German breakfast (for example, bread or roll, butter, sausage or jam, water or tea) and on weekends perhaps an egg. No breakfast is provided on the day of arrival.

Host family (single room, half board)

Living with a host family in Berlin for your language study is a great way to immerse yourself in the local culture and get a feel for the language. You may immerse yourself in the local culture and put your German language skills to the test outside of a classroom setting by staying with a family.
A booking with half-board includes two meals per day: breakfast and dinner. Traditionally, the evening meal in Germany is cold, but most host families offer a warm dinner. Please note that in Germany the evening meal is usually between 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., so plan your day to correspond with your host family's schedule. If you do not plan to be home for dinner, please let your host know. It is possible the host family will not be able to provide an evening meal on the day of your arrival if time does not allow it. Board ends with breakfast on the day of departure.

To guarantee a welcoming environment where German is spoken, our team is very selective when selecting individuals and host families. Hosts can be couples or individuals, working full-time or enjoying retirement, with or without children, and more available to spend time with you. Many of our hosts have been hosting students for many years, and we visit them frequently.

- You will receive fresh bed linens and towels regularly.

Student Residence (single room)

Situated in the Lichtenberg neighborhood in the city's eastern half, this student housing complex is well situated. The building's restaurants, gyms, parks, and grocery store are all within easy walking distance. There is a garden with a grilling area and a rooftop patio where you can meet your housemates.
All rooms are furnished with:
- Single bed, desk, chair, closet, curtains, lamps;
- Bathroom with shower and toilet en suite;
- Kitchenette with microwave, ceramic cooktop, refrigerator and dishware.
Security Deposit (refundable): 300 EUR.
An additional tourism fee (City Tax Berlin) of 7.5% EUR will be charged; not applicable to stays longer than 26 weeks.
