  • The professional association FDSV evaluates language schools according to the European standard DIN EN 14804. did deutsch-institut underwent a quality assessment of its offerings by an independent, scientific council and received the seal of approval from FDSV in accordance with DIN EN 14804.
  • Schools in Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich are TestDaF Testing Centers. With over 27,000 participants per year, the Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache is the most important German language test for foreign college applicants in Germany.
  • Schools in Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich are licensed telc testing centers. These tests are nationally and internationally recognized by businesses, government agencies and colleges and are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (GER).
  • Schools are testing centers for the test telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule (University). The exam is especially targeted to adults who want to study at a German speaking university and need proof of language competency.
  • We are a member of FaDaF (Professional Association for German as a Foreign Language). The FaDaF has set a goal of teaching the German language and through language, facilitating intercultural encounters. In particular, through language support, FaDaF aims to contribute to the number of adults pursuing higher education in Germany.
  • Schools in Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich are recognized by the Swedish Center for Continuing Education (CSN). Swedish students have the opportunity to receive financial support for participating in language courses through CSN.

A booking with half-board includes two meals per day: breakfast and dinner. Traditionally, the evening meal in Germany is cold, but most host families offer a warm dinner. Please note that in Germany the evening meal is usually between 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., so plan your day to correspond with your host family's schedule. If you do not plan to be home for dinner, please let your host know. It is possible the host family will not be able to provide an evening meal on the day of your arrival if time does not allow it. To the south of the city lies the student housing. In addition to a cozy bed, each room comes with its own kitchenette and private bathroom. While you're in Munich, you won't need to worry about storage either.
