Breakfast is usually light (cereal, toast, tea/coffee), often self-serve, while dinner is the main meal, typically featuring meat or fish with vegetables and potatoes. This option supports integration into Irish family life while giving students independence for lunch.

Dinner is substantial, commonly featuring potatoes alongside meat/fish and vegetables.
