Teaching effectively is a top priority at Speakeasy Language School. Only highly competent native Spanish speakers with extensive expertise instructing Spanish to non-native speakers make up faculty.
Faculty is comprised of recent Spanish language or translation graduates who have received additional ELE (Spanish as a Foreign Language) training.
Students, on average, are 28 years old. Students of all ages and from all walks of life attend school!
School have a very international environment at Speakeasy with students from all over the world. Generally speaking, there won't be more than a pair of pupils from the same country in any given classroom. In particular: The United States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Brazil, Germany, Italy, and France, to name just a few!
The Cervantes Institute, a government institution with the mission of advancing the study and teaching of Spanish language and culture abroad, has granted Speakeasy Language School its accreditation.

Courses
General Intensive Spanish - 20 lessons per week
If you want to make rapid progress in your Spanish studies, this intensive course is for you. Students choose 20-hour intensive course because they realize it is the most efficient and enjoyable way to learn Spanish.
Daily morning and afternoon sessions of 4 hours each last from Monday through Friday. There is a short break in the middle of the day's classes, which are split into two halves taught by different instructors. There will be enough time in the day to practice all four skills (speaking, reading, writing, and listening) necessary to become fluent in Spanish.
General Intensive Spanish - 30 lessons per week
This Spanish course is a hybrid of two different 10-hour weekly offerings: conversational and business Spanish from 15.30 to 17.30, and the Intensive 20h program from 9.00 to 13.00.
If you want to learn as much Spanish as possible in a short amount of time, most immersive course is for you. Morning intensive group lessons occur Monday through Friday and last for four hours each day. There is a short break in the middle of the day's classes, which are split into two halves taught by different instructors. You'll spend the afternoon splitting your time between a conversational Spanish session and a culture class. That way, you can study all five skills necessary to communicate effectively in Spanish every day: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
Individual General Spanish - 10 lessons per week
School offer customized private Spanish courses for individuals, couples, friends, and small groups. To help you learn Spanish at your own pace, your instructor will modify the CASA curriculum to fit your needs.
All of lessons are taught by native Spanish teachers with experience in teaching Spanish to foreigners.
Lessons can be planned to take place at Speakeasy or at a location of your choice, such as your home or place of business.
Exam preparation DELE - 20 lessons per week (2 weeks)
The Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE) is a globally recognized certification that certifies your proficiency in Spanish. It is required for admission to several Spanish universities and can be used professionally to prove your level. Instituto Cervantes organizes DELE, the internationally recognized Spanish language qualification. DELE is set and graded by Salamanca University and endorsed by the Spanish Ministry of Education.
School have DELE-trained Spanish teachers who have helped students get certified. The exam structure, material, and skills for each section will be taught.

The official credential known as Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera, or DELE, certifies your proficiency in Spanish and is recognized globally. Many Spanish universities demand it for admittance, and it may also be a professional requirement to demonstrate your level in an official manner. The Instituto Cervantes administers DELE, the internationally recognized certification for proficiency in Spanish language. Salamanca University, with help from the Spanish Ministry of Education, sets and evaluates the DELE exam.
Spanish instructors have formal DELE training and have assisted students in getting ready for official certification. Along with learning the exam's format and material, you'll also pick up the skills necessary to complete each segment.
Since Speakeasy is an authorized DELE Testing Facility, you are also able to take the test at school.

Spanish instructors have extensive expertise helping students get ready for and pass the DELE exam, and they have received specialized training in this area. You will gain familiarity with the test's format and content, as well as the knowledge and practice you need to successfully complete each component.

General Intensive Spanish (combination) - 20 lessons + 4 individual sessions per week
You can get the most out of both environments with Spanish immersion programs. The social benefits of studying with others are combined with the individual attention that individual study groups provide. This is why students of different ages and interests choose this unified Spanish course.

20-hour Intensive Spanish course meets Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the 4-hour private Spanish lessons can be scheduled whenever you choose. Your customized Spanish courses will be tailored to your interests and needs.

Host family (single room with breakfast)
One of the best ways to learn Spanish and immerse oneself in Spanish culture is through a homestay with a Spanish family.
Your private room will come furnished with a table and closet, and you'll have your own set of keys to use in the apartment's other rooms as well. Laundry and housekeeping services are complimentary. Linens and a Wi-Fi connection are standard in each of the flats.
Breakfast is also included in the price.
Host family (single room with half board)
A homestay with a family is an outstanding opportunity to practice Spanish and gain direct exposure to Spanish culture.
You will be granted access to all common areas of the apartment and have your own room with a desk and wardrobe, as well as your own keys. Cleaning and laundry services are included. Every apartment features a built-in linen service and a Wi-Fi connection.
Breakfast and dinner are also included in the price.
Host family (single room with full board)
Living with a family in their home is a great way to learn Spanish and get a personal look at Spanish culture.
You will have your own keys, a private room with a desk and closet, and access to all common areas of the apartment. Included are the cleaning and washing. Every unit has linens and is equipped with Wi-Fi.
