Courses
Standard Italian - 20 lessons per week
This course has a minimum duration of one week and comprises of 20 hours of group instruction per week. The hours of instruction are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Students can take part in the cultural program, which is covered by the course fee and includes meetings about Italian literature, art, history, and archaeology in addition to field trips, three afternoons a week.
PROGRAM:
- 4 hours of language activities in class from 9 am to 1 pm;
- 2 cultural activities per week, 2 hours each;
- 1 full-day excursion in the first week (at the weekend);
- 1 half-day excursion in the second week.
Combined Intensive Italian - 30 lessons per week
This course requires 30 hours of tuition per week, which is made up of 10 hours of individual instruction and 20 hours of group instruction. This course has a one-week minimum length requirement. Lessons are conducted in groups from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and individually in the afternoons. Students can take part in the cultural program, which is covered by the course fee and includes meetings about Italian literature, art, history, and archaeology in addition to field trips, on three afternoons a week.
Personalized teaching activities on request:
- 2 cultural activities per week with the group;
- 1 full day excursion on the islands during the weekend of the first week;
- 1 half day excursion in the second week;
- Students who choose a combined course participate in all cultural activities organized by the school for intensive group courses.
Individual Italian - 10 lessons per week
Individual tuition for this course is 2 hours per day, or 10 hours per week.
This course is customized to meet the individual needs of the student, allowing them to acquire in-depth material on specialized subjects in a laid-back setting and advance quickly. Exam preparation (CILS) - 20 lessons per week
Terramare offers individualized CILS exam preparation classes in partnership with the University of Siena. This course is designed to meet the individual needs of the student, who can learn a lot in a laid-back setting and advance quickly as a result. The cultural program, which is covered by the course fee and includes meetings about Italian literature, art, history, and archaeology as well as field trips, is available to students three afternoons a week.

Terramare offers single apartments for students, ensuring a private and comfortable living space.
